“Reinforced M42 jacket”

M-1942 jump jacket reinforced on the elbows and hips pockets. This vest was worn by Private Joseph C. Fitt 1/505th PIR, 82nd Airborne, during the fights in La Fière, from 6 to 8 June 1944. Joe Fitt was killed on June 13 near Montebourg, and was posthumously decorated with the Silver Star for his actions in La Fière.
