The 82nd anniversary edition of the Airborne Museum’s reenactment camp, Camp Geronimo, will be held in Sainte-Mère-Eglise from Wednesday, June 3 to Sunday, June 7, 2026.
The 82nd anniversary edition of the Airborne Museum’s reenactment camp, Camp Geronimo, will be held in Sainte-Mère-Eglise from Wednesday, June 3 to Sunday, June 7, 2026.
As every year during the Normandy Landings commemorations, the Airborne Museum in Sainte-Mère-Eglise will organize Camp Geronimo. Located in the field behind the museum, it will be open from June 3 to 7, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.
This camp is entirely dedicated to American troops from World War II, and brings together several reenactment associations every year. They are responsible for organizing educational workshops, activities inside and outside the camp, as well as demonstrations of all kinds. In addition, visitors can see a wide range of period vehicles at the camp, including half a dozen tanks such as the iconic Sherman.
