The 507th and 508th PIR in Northern Ireland
On January 14, 1944, the 507th PIR of Colonel George V. Millett Jr and the 508th PIR of Colonel Roy E. Lindquist stationed in Northern Ireland were temporarily attached to the 82nd Airborne Division. During March, the two regiments settled in the Midlands in central England, in the region between Nottingham and Wollaton Park in Nottinghamshire.
