Inspired by General Eisenhower, hence the “Ike Jacket” nickname, this type of jacket was used mostly as outdoor clothing by soldiers who were coming home soon. The jacket and the cap both belonged to Sergeant paratrooper William H. Tucker, 505th PIR, 82nd Airborne. He received the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart, as well as french, belgian and dutch fodder crops.
