Traces of War: an Airborne Story

Sortie du nouveau film  institutionnel de l’Airborne Museum.

Normandy is a land with a rich historical legacy, of which the traces are here obvious, there more subtly present. The Airborne Museum’s mission, as well as all the other museums dedicated to World War II, is to preserve this memorial legacy, whether it be material or more intangible, to highlight it, and to act as an educational lever for all the current generation as well as those to come.

Thus, in order to emphasize this duty, we created an institutional film depicting the museum’s infrastructures, through the lens of a paratrooper of the war. It is also a great occasion to pay homage to the splendid landscapes of Normandy, who have witnessed so many crucial events, and who maintain, decades later, their pastoral majesty.

The Airborne Museum has called upon Pastille Prod, filmmaker from Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, to direct this film. here is the trailer. Full film will be available on our Facebook, this page, as well as on our Youtube, on May 2nd. Of course, it is english language-friendly! Enjoy!
