Soldier's Medal

The Soldier’s Medal is a US military decoration established on 2 July 1926.

It is awarded to any member of the armed forces of the United States or of a friendly foreign country who has distinguished themselves during their service through an act of heroism not involving a confrontation with the enemy. Many recipients have therefore been awarded it for rescuing people in danger.
