Creation of Airborne ghost units

April 1944: As part of Fortitude North and South’s disinformation operations, airborne ghost units (the 6th, 9th, 18th, 21st and 135th Airborne Divisions, Phantom Divisions) are created and stationed in Kent, England, to create the illusion of a landing in Pas-de-Calais.
