Jump zones assignment

May 18 1944: 4 jump zones in the land behind the beach exits, between St-Martin-de-Varreville and Audouville-Pouppeville are assigned to the 101st Airborne Division as part of the Normandy operations. The division also has the crucial task to seize Sainte-Mère-Eglise and the Merderet bridges.

As for the 82nd Airborne Division, it must jump on three zones between the Sangsurière marsh rooms and St-Sauveur-le-Vicomte
